The Meze Liric 2nd Generation is the latest version of the renowned headphones, stemming from Romania.
If you are looking for a “real” high-end headphone there is the new Meze Liric 2nd Generation. It is a closed one, where the manufacturer reports that some very serious thought has gone into the design. And that obviously to get the most out of it in terms of sound quality. Internally, a planar magnetic system is used, with an isodynamic hybrid array. All this, in conjunction with the closed back according to the manufacturer, should lead to preservation of the original clarity and emotion of the music you are listening to. While simultaneously blocking external noise as much as possible.
Easily replaceable ear cushions
Nice and practical is that the ear pads of the Liric 2nd Generation can be easily replaced. They are attached with magnetic clamps. As far as we are concerned, every self-respecting headphone manufacturer should use that trick! Furthermore, choose from a 4.4 mm hand-braided copper cable for portable players, or go for a 3-meter long one designed for stationary home use.
The Meze Liric 2nd Generation costs €2000. Coincidentally(?) the very same as the price of the original Liric.
