The new Dyson OnTrac headphones demonstrate that the manufacturer has truly embraced the world of audio. Always exciting, of course!
Unlike its unique predecessor equipped with an air filter, the new Dyson OnTrac has a classic setup. Designed for listening in silence everywhere. Emphasis on silence, as these headphones feature advanced ANC (Active Noise Cancellation), utilizing 8 microphones and a sampling rate of 384 kHz to suppress unwanted ambient noise as effectively as possible. The 40 mm drivers are paired with a 16-ohm voice coil; the frequency range spans from 6 Hz to 21 kHz. Detection of sound levels in your ear and from the noisy outside world can alert you if it becomes unhealthy. You can control the Dyson OnTrac via an app, but the convenient joystick on the headphones themselves also proves useful.
A fully charged battery provides up to 55 hours of playtime, with ANC enabled, of course. A nice feature is that the outer ear cups can be swapped in different combinations. This allows for a total of 2000 color combinations. With the purchase, you receive one set of ear cups, and each additional set costs €49. The Dyson OnTrac itself is priced at €499. You can pre-order it on this page.
