Zeitgeist Germany is a new audio brand that creates unique, artistic, and organic in-ears that are also a pleasure to look at.

The vast majority of earbuds are made of plastic, with a few made of metal. Newly established German (in case that was not clear yet…) company Zeitgeist Germany takes a completely different approach. The base material for their Artisan series in-ears is curly birch, also known as Karelian birch or Masur birch. This wood has a distinctive, wavy pattern that is highly valued. Incidentally, the Karelian Birch was the penultimate Fabergé egg ever produced, using this wood as its base. For the design process, a block of wood is cast in deeply penetrating resin. Whether natural or colored, the mentioned patterns are emphasized in both cases. After shaping, a uniquely artistic-looking in-ear emerges, with each piece being slightly different.

Whisky

If you’re not a fan of curly birch, there is the Zeitgeist Germany Whisky Collection. The base material for these in-ears is the wood from Islay Malt whisky barrels (American oak). After shaping, the resulting earbuds are simply oiled and ready. More whisky varieties (in terms of barrels as base material) are planned.

The Zeitgeist Germany in-ears from the Artisan series are priced at €899, while the Whisky Collection goes for €799.
