Luckily, products like the new Roberts Reva offer the best of both worlds: retro on the outside, modern on the inside. It’s equipped with a DAB+ receiver as well as an FM tuner, with 20 presets available per tuner — more than enough for everyday use. A display with five adjustable brightness levels ensures you’ll always see what station you’re tuned to.
Bluetooth and alarm clock radio
The Roberts Reva can also function as a Bluetooth speaker, supporting SBC and AAC codecs — good news for Apple users. Driver-wise, it features a 3.5-inch woofer and a 1.5-inch tweeter, with the cabinet including a bass port. An equalizer lets you fine-tune the sound to your personal preference. The unit doubles as an alarm clock radio too, complete with a sleep timer. Listening through headphones is possible via the 3.5 mm jack. And there’s a handy USB-C port for charging your smartphone.
The Reva is priced at £199 and will be available later this month.
