Dutch 010Hifi has long been a household name in Rotterdam — and far beyond. Founded in 1970, the store is now closing its doors permanently.
010Hifi, located at Pleinweg 136–138 in the Dutch harbor city of Rotterdam, announced its final closure in an email to its customers:
“After nearly 55 years of hi-fi on Pleinweg in Rotterdam-South, a special era is coming to an end. On October 1, 2025, 010Hifi will close its doors. What a wonderful 12 years we’ve had! We worked with passion and shared beautiful music and audio experiences with you.
Now it’s time for a new chapter. Our building will take on a new purpose, and for us personally, a new phase begins as well. Eric will be focusing on a new challenge, while for Goos, the long commute between home and work has simply become too much.
In good cooperation with our fellow hi-fi stores, you can turn to Hobo Hifi, Multifoon, and the branches of Hifi Klubben for service and warranty. We will remain open until September 27.
