The Majority Move series strongly resembles the well-known JBL portables and appears to be taking direct aim at that competition.
If you’re looking for an attractively priced Bluetooth speaker and find the familiar JBL models just a bit too expensive, Majority is happy to step in. Their new Move series is clearly positioned below that brand in terms of price. Externally, however, they look quite similar in both design and dimensions. The range includes the M1 through M4. The smallest M1 is a very compact unit that can be clipped to a belt or bag, for example. Next is the M2: a step up in size, comparable to the well-known Flip 6, and features both USB-C and AUX input.
The M3 and M4 are larger models, with the M4 being the biggest in the lineup. Pricing (listed below) sits at a noticeably lower level than much of the A-brand competition. Whether the sound quality meets your expectations is, as always, a matter of listening and weighing your options. The M2 through M4 share the familiar (more or less) cylindrical design. These models also include a microSD card slot, allowing them to function as standalone portable music players.
All speakers support Bluetooth 6 and are available in the UK immediately. At the time of writing, the manufacturer’s website does not yet list the new models, but they are already visible on the company’s Facebook page, where the screenshot of the Move M1 shown above originates.
