Nothing has introduced the Headphone (a), a playful—distinctively styled—new addition to its existing over-ear audio lineup.
According to the manufacturer, the new Nothing Headphone (a) is designed for lovers of both design and music, offering “a tactile user experience while demonstrating that high-resolution audio can perfectly complement personal style.” The Headphone (a) builds on Nothing’s signature design language while introducing a new, expressive color palette. The newly introduced pink and yellow variants give the headphones a playful yet accessible look. Weighing just 310 grams and featuring breathable memory foam ear cushions, the headphones are designed to remain comfortable even during extended listening sessions. Thanks to an IP52 rating, the Headphone (a) is also protected against dust and splashes, meaning a sudden rain shower or an intense workout should not pose any problems.
Exceptional battery performance
The Headphone (a) pushes the limits of battery performance with up to five days (135 hours) of listening time with ANC disabled on a single charge. According to Nothing, that’s equivalent to seven round-trip flights from London to New York, with battery life still to spare. A quick five-minute charge provides up to five additional hours of playback.
Intuitive Nothing controls
The Headphone (a) has been designed for natural and intuitive operation, featuring the same tactile controls that were previously introduced on the Headphone (1). These include a Roller, Paddle and Button, integrated directly into the ear cups. They allow precise control over volume, media playback and ANC modes.
There is also Channel Hop, which lets users quickly switch between their favorite apps and functions with a simple press of the Button, without having to pick up their smartphone. The new Camera Shutter mode transforms that same Button into a remote control, allowing users to take photos or start video recordings on a connected smartphone with a single press.
High-resolution audio powered by adaptive intelligence
The Headphone (a) is engineered for maximum clarity, thanks to certified High-Resolution wireless audio and support for the LDAC codec. A 40 mm titanium-coated driver provides what Nothing describes as a robust and durable construction while delivering powerful, distortion-free sound as intended by the artist.
For an uninterrupted listening experience, the Headphone (a) features Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation with three levels—low, medium and high—to reduce environmental noise. A Transparency Mode allows outside sound to pass through when desired, so users can remain aware of their surroundings.
The hybrid ANC system uses two feedforward and two feedback microphones that work together with AI technology to automatically adjust noise cancellation based on the surrounding environment and the fit of the headphones. The same intelligent technology also improves call quality. An advanced AI algorithm using three microphones, trained on more than 28 million sound scenarios, isolates the user’s voice to ensure clear communication—even in noisy environments.
Personalized EQ via the Nothing X app
Using the Nothing X app, users can fully customize their listening experience. The app provides access to a professional 8-band advanced EQ for precise sound tuning. Users can also create their own sound profiles and share them with the Nothing community.
“For additional depth, a real-time Bass Enhancement algorithm analyzes low frequencies and delivers powerful, punchy bass without compromising the clarity of the midrange and high frequencies,” the manufacturer adds.

The Headphone (a) is available in black, white, pink and yellow for €159. Global pre-orders start March 5 via the manufacturer’s website and selected partners. Regular sales of the white, black and pink versions begin on March 13, while the Limited Edition yellow variant will be available from April 6.
