JBL has updated two of its Bluetooth speakers—the Xtreme and Go, effectively the extremes of its lineup.
The new JBL Xtreme 5 (shown above) is the largest and heaviest model in the brand’s portable speaker range. According to the manufacturer, this latest version delivers improved sound quality, including 10% deeper bass and higher output levels. The acoustic design has also been revised, with the internal setup now featuring two tweeters and a subwoofer.
At the other end of the spectrum, the compact Go has also been updated and has now reached version 5. Here, the focus is primarily on enhanced low-frequency performance, partly thanks to a cleverly designed hollow logo.
Both speakers come equipped with an AI-driven SmartEQ Mode, which automatically adjusts the sound profile based on the content being played. A neat feature of the Go 5 is that tapping two units together will automatically pair them into a stereo setup. Both speakers also support Auracast and feature built-in light shows.
The JBL Go 5 is priced at €50 and is available in seven colors. The Xtreme 5 comes in at €350, with a choice of black, blue and camo. Both models are available starting now.
