Roberts Radio has launched two closely related radios: the Stream 219 and the Blutune 7, with the former adding streaming capabilities.
Whether you’re looking for a traditional “radio-radio” or a more versatile device that can also handle streaming, Roberts now offers two brand-new models. The more affordable of the pair is the Blutune 7. Equipped with DAB+ and FM tuners, it allows you to listen to classic linear radio stations right away. Bluetooth is also included, so the unit can double as a wireless speaker. Practical touches include physical tone control buttons, while operation is handled via a clear color display.
The Stream 219 (shown above) offers the same core features as the Blutune 7 but takes things a step further. It adds a built-in streaming module supporting Spotify Connect and more. Playing MP3 files from a USB flash drive is also supported via the dedicated USB port.
Both radios feature two 3-inch speakers. They can be powered via the included mains adapter, or alternatively by six AA batteries. The latter option also makes them suitable as emergency radios, as batteries are usually easy to find or keep on hand.
The Roberts Blutune 7 is priced at £99.99, while the Stream 219 comes in at £149.99.
