Loewe has launched a new Bluetooth speaker. The compact Neo immediately falls into the premium category – certainly when it comes to price.
Almost traditionally, Loewe tends to target the higher end of the market with its products, relatively speaking. The new Neo portable Bluetooth speaker is no exception. In return, however, you do get what is, in itself, a particularly attractive little device with an aluminium enclosure. Of course, tastes differ, but still. One nice detail is that the speaker grilles are interchangeable, so there should be something to suit every mood. In addition, there is a colourful light bar on top.
The speaker delivers a maximum output of 50 watts. Passive bass radiators, among other things, are intended to provide a suitably deep sound. Meanwhile, the Neo is IP67-rated for water and dust resistance, making it suitable for outdoor use as well. On a full charge, the built-in battery provides up to 12 hours of playback.
And since one speaker is still only one speaker, Auracast allows you to add additional speakers for sound that can fill an entire room – or garden.
The Loewe Neo will be available to pre-order from November 20. At the time of writing, further information about the device is still lacking, although a little Googling does turn up a few images here and there. The price, however, is already known: €400. Made in Germany! In the meantime, it is probably best to keep an eye on the manufacturer’s website for further details.
