devolo Introduces Mesh Wi-Fi Sets and Fibre Router

The new devolo WiFi 7 BE9300 is the brand’s latest flagship router. And naturally, mesh networking options are available as well!

German networking specialist devolo has introduced a new Wi-Fi flagship: the devolo WiFi 7 BE9300. According to the manufacturer, this high-speed Wi-Fi solution can also be used flexibly as an Ethernet router, particularly for fast fibre-optic connections. The router is available separately or in packages containing two or three mesh Wi-Fi units. And for those who prefer Ethernet cables, the tri-band model offers four LAN connections. Installation is also promised to be quick and straightforward, using either the devolo Home Network app or the web interface.

Ready for the Digital Future With Wi-Fi 7

From tablets and smart TVs to smart kitchen appliances, an increasing number of devices in our homes depend on fast and stable Wi-Fi. Meanwhile, home entertainment and working from home require so much bandwidth that many Wi-Fi routers are gradually beginning to run out of steam.

‘When video streams start buffering, video conferences lose their connection or stuttering during online gaming spoils the fun, it is time for a Wi-Fi 7 upgrade,’ according to devolo.

The Advantages of Tri-Band Technology

Thanks to its tri-band technology, the new devolo BE9300 offers combined wireless speeds of up to 9,300 Mbps. It supports the 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz frequency bands, with channel widths of up to 320 MHz.

The latest Wi-Fi 7 features, including 4K QAM, Multi-Link Operation and Multi-RU Puncturing, enable particularly high wireless speeds, increased capacity for multiple connected devices and minimal latency. In addition to Wi-Fi 7, the devolo model also supports older Wi-Fi standards.

‘Top-Class Mesh Wi-Fi’

A mesh system is a wireless network consisting of several interconnected Wi-Fi access points. Together, these create a closely integrated wireless network, providing comprehensive coverage even in demanding home and working environments.

The new devolo system supports modern mesh technologies such as Access Point Steering, Band Steering, bidirectional Multi-User MIMO and OFDMA. According to the manufacturer, these features make its Wi-Fi particularly fast, robust and capable of covering large areas.

‘True Plug & Play’

Setting up the two- and three-unit mesh sets is particularly straightforward, according to devolo: ‘The sets are delivered preconfigured and are ready for use shortly after being connected. The separately available WiFi 7 router is also ready to get started immediately: simply connect it via an LAN cable to, for example, the ONT (fibre-optic modem), and quickly configure it using the intuitive devolo Home Network app or web interface.’

Maximum Flexibility: devolo’s Modular Solution

The new mesh router is available in several configurations: as a standalone router, in two- or three-unit mesh sets, and as a separate mesh expansion unit.

The devolo BE9300 series can be used flexibly as an Ethernet router, access point or mesh Wi-Fi system. Furthermore, the operating mode can be changed at any time using the devolo Home Network app or web interface. This allows users to choose precisely the package that meets their individual requirements.

Another advantage is that the new Wi-Fi 7 Ethernet router works with all current devolo components, as well as ONTs, modems and routers from other manufacturers.
