A comparison of network connections

Test setup

With the available equipment and cables we can put together many combinations, but because of time and to not make it too complex we decided to test only the connections that will be used the most in practice. After listening to the baseline, and that is a standard CAT6 cable from the router (Danicom 100% Cu, unshielded), we proceed with the following combinations.

1. Muon pro filter with Muon pro streaming cable
2. Melco S100 with Muon pro streaming cable
3. Melco S100 with Uptimed multi mode fiber
4. Melco S100 with Adott single mode fiber
5. Melco S100 with Melco C1 D20 DAC cable
