Measurements and conclusion

We measured the Yeti Reference Source in our lab. We used the AC generator to inject noise and DC as well as the Prism dScope III coupled via a toroid transformer that turns 230V into 12 volts. This to avoid blowing up the dScope.
It is immediately obvious that the Yeti removes quite a bit of noise. DC, too, which makes sense, given the design of the filter: it’s a balanced isolation transformer. We see an attenuation of about 40dBFS, which is downright good. And DC is also effectively eliminated, although you can still hear a slight hum from the Yeti at higher DC-levels. You can’t really escape that with a transformer.
All in all, these are again neat scores that show that these products just work.
