Ziigaat? Unless you are a seasoned customer of Chi-fi products, this name won’t even raise an eyebrow. Nevertheless, we’re testing the Ziigaat Arete II in-ear monitor for you. Let’s see and hear what happens!
Ziigaat x Fresh Reviews
Ziigaat designed the Arete in collaboration with the YouTube channel Fresh Reviews. We looked up the Fresh Reviews channel and mainly found reviews of wireless gaming mice, headphones, keyboards and in-ear monitors. So these in-ear monitors are aimed at gamers; that must be Ziigaat’s message. According to the manufacturer’s website, the original version of the Arete has reportedly sold tens of thousands of units, and the Arete II is even more refined, better tuned and features a completely redesigned subwoofer. The Arete II promises deep bass and, thanks to new crossovers, a smoother transition to the higher frequency ranges. One dynamic driver (the subwoofer) and four balanced armature drivers are designed to deliver all this.
Unboxing
Ziigaat Arte II comes in a smart little jewel box made of faux leather (or should we say ‘vegan’?) with a fluffy grey interior. It looks rather luxurious. Also included is an adapter with a choice of a 3.5mm or 4.4mm headphone jack and a pair of ear tips.
