Striking news: MediaMarkt will open seven new stores in the former premises of bankrupt Dutch BCC on November 22.

In the Dutch towns of Barendrecht, Beek, Beverwijk, Delft, Nijmegen, Zoeterwoude and Amsterdam Gelderlandplein they don’t have to worry about a hole in the shopping street after the BCC bankruptcy anymore. Indeed, MediaMarkt will open new stores at these locations on November 22. Immediately following a concept that is new to the Netherlands in the form of the store format XPress. This is a compact formula aimed at city centers and shopping malls.

Opportunities for former BCC staff

The new MediaMarkt stores also offer opportunities for former BCC staff. In fact, there is still plenty of personnel being recruited.
