In the new Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition, compared to the “standard” version, better components have been used. Nevertheless, the price has remained quite pleasant.
The Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition is similar in functionality to the ‘Master Edition’-less version. In other words, it is a streamer equipped with Ethernet and wifi. It can handle all known music streamers such as Tidal, Qobuz, Amazon Music. Via apps, support for Apple Music, Spotify and Deezer, for example, can be added. Furthermore, the DMP-A6 is Roon Ready. Two ESS-9038 DAC chips take care of the actual digital-to-analog conversion. The maximum available resolution is 32 bit / 786 kHz PCM and DSD also participates, up to DSD512. For enthusiasts, there is then also support for MQA. By the way, the DAC in the Eversolo DMP-A6 is also directly addressable via USB-C, S/PDIF optical and coax and (or) Bluetooth 5.0.
SSD there: you can
A nice feature of the Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition is the possibility to add an SSD (up to 4 TB) without opening up the entire device. You operate the device via a nice spacious 6-inch touch screen. The Master Edition uses not only better components but sports an accurate clock as well.
The Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition has a fairly accessible price tag of €1299. At the time of writing, the device could not yet be found on the manufacturer’s international site, but we did find it on their Polish website (see screenshot above).
