Aurender released the N20 music server and streamer. It is in all respects a solid upgrade from the ‘old’ N10.
Looking for a solid streamer for your music collection? Then Aurender has the N20 ready for you. With this music server and streamer you keep your complete music collection in one place, wonderfully organized and always ready to play. The N20 is the successor to the N10 and has numerous innovations, Dutch importer More Music pointed out the USP’s for this digital master piece.
- The brand new linear power supply for the N20 uses 2 transformers, 4 cores for the digital audio output section, large capacitors of audio quality and isolated grounding!
The N20 is extremely refined and dead quiet! A power supply that is so good, it immediately provides audible improvements on every audio component. - Grounding for the SPDIF outputs is now isolated by a separate transformer for an even lower noise floor on AES/EBU, Coax RCA & BNC compared to N10.
- All new circuit boards are equipped with a higher precision OCXO clock and oscillator that show 4 to 10 times more stability (frequency stability versus load) than the N10.
Musicality, timing, tempo and rhythm are greatly improved. - Just like the A30, ACS10 and ACS100, the N20 has a built-in uninterruptible power supply based on super capacitors. This prevents damage to the drive and operating system in the event of an abrupt power failure by safely shutting down the system.
- A wordclock input enables synchronization of the N20 with an external wordclock.
- The Aurender N20 has an 8.8″ wide screen 1980 x 480 in color, as found on the A30. The chassis size is slightly higher than the N10, giving it a more substantial appearance.
- The N20 comes without installed hard disks. As with the N100SC and ACS100, hard drives are the customer’s choice. Each of the two mounting slots on the rear panel accommodates a 1, 2.4 or 8 TB 2.5 inch SSD or up to 5 TB 15 mm high 2.5 inch HDDs. Because users have different storage requirements, we think this is the best way to satisfy everyone.
- Next-generation USB audio class 2.0 module, designed with an emphasis on reducing jitter and the lowest possible latency.
- Like the W20SE and ACS10, the N20 uses a double-insulated LAN port to filter out noise generated by the router.
- Doubling of the N10’s DRAM (8GB) allows for sufficient space for additional functions in the future
- Improved SSD with higher capacity for caching. Upgraded to 500 GB M2 NVME. N10 uses a 2.5″ 240GB SATA.
The Aurender N20 will be available in silver or black as of November this year. The recommended retail price is €12,900.
