Bluesound Pulse M wireless 360 degree

Bluesound has announced the new wireless Pulse M, a speaker designed to emit 360-degree surround sound.

What is special about the new Bluesound Pulse M wireless speaker – apart from the fact that it emits 360 degrees around-sound – is that it can handle hires sound and MQA. As such, it clearly outperforms most ‘smart speakers’. Internally, an 80 watt DSP ‘smart amplifier’ is deployed, coupled with an ‘Omni-Hybrid’ driver configuration. This uses an upward-radiating 5.25-inch woofer along with two 19mm tweeters placed at a 45-degree angle. In case you want, the Pulse M can be wall-mounted using an optional wall bracket. A tripod is optionally available too.

A myriad of streaming services

You can combine two Bluesound Pulse M speakers for stereo sound. If you already have a Bluesound Pulse Soundbar+, the Pulse M’s can additionally be used as rear channels in a surround setup. Nice too: the speaker supports more than twenty music services, including of course Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, Amazon Music and so on. The device is controlled via the BluOS Controller app. Bluetooth with aptX HD is also present, as well as Apple AirPlay 2. Connect to your (home) network via wireless Wi-Fi or an Ethernet cable. To top it all off, you can use voice assistants like Google Assistant, Alexa and Siri if you wish. Available in black or white, at a cost of €549.
