No need to worry—this is not a complete overhaul. Instead, Qobuz has given its mobile app a thoughtful refresh, introducing a cleaner interface along with a redesigned music player.
Every now and then, music streaming services decide it’s time to update their apps. Sometimes the results are less than successful, while in other cases the redesign genuinely improves the user experience. Judging by first impressions, Qobuz appears to have taken the latter route.
One of the most noticeable additions is the new player interface, which offers a cleaner and more intuitive layout. The redesigned mini player is particularly eye-catching, remaining visible in a compact form while you continue browsing the rest of the app.
Another welcome addition is support for synchronised lyrics, allowing song lyrics to appear line by line in perfect sync with the music. If desired, the lyrics can even be translated automatically, making songs performed in unfamiliar languages much easier to follow.
All in all, the updated app should make listening through Qobuz an even more enjoyable experience. And ultimately, that’s exactly what music is all about.
