Goldmund’s Eidos SACD player is intended for true high-end connoisseurs. Ones that have a nicely stuffed bank account too.
The Goldmund Eidos is a high-end high-end SACD player. At least already as far as the price tag is concerned, because for this Swiss-made device you’ll have to pay €90750. This includes VAT. You also get a lot in return though, including, of course, technical know-how from a country that values fine mechanics. For example, the D&M SACD mechanism is integrated with a mechanical grounding system from Goldmund’s own design. The same goes for the damper used.
DAC
Looking at the electronic side, the Eidos can handle PCM in a quality up to 384 kHz and DSD up to DSD512. Via a USB input, the player can be used as a DAC too. The gray finished exterior breathes class, so all in all a machine for true enthusiasts.
