With the fresh Epos ES-28N you get a solid floorstanding speaker, in 3-way configuration and all.
From the North Sea horizon, interesting devices enter the world with regularity. Like, for example, the new Epos ES-28N three-way floorstanding speaker. Like so many things that are currently being announced, you will be one of the first to hear the British ES-28N with your own ears at the upcoming Munich High End. You will not be able to buy it until the fourth quarter of this year though. But with a litte luck just in time for the holidays, if things go as planned.
Own midrange cabinet
The crossover in the speaker operates at 300 and 2800 Hz. Inside the cabinet you will find two bass drivers, a midrange driver and a tweeter. The first two have already made their mark in the predecessors of this speaker. However: they have both been redesigned to perform optimally in this newborn as well. Also, the midrange driver in the Epos ES-28N now has its own sealed cabinet. By the way, the complete enclosure is made of double MDF boards and a 50 mm thick front panel is provided. Sounds interesting on paper at least, but as always wait and see in practice.
The price of the Epos ES-28N is not yet known at the time of writing.
