With the new Monitor Audio Studio 89, you are bringing something visually striking into your home. These speakers feature a ‘point source’ MTM driver setup, where MTM stands for Mid-Tweeter-Mid. The manufacturer has equipped them with their latest MDP III (Micro Plated Diaphragm) tweeter, paired with two 108 mm RDT III (Rigid Diaphragm Technology) mid-bass drivers. A highly optimized third-order crossover ensures that each driver receives its precisely optimized frequency band.
‘Perfect Collaboration Between Cabinet and Drivers’
Everything is housed in a solid and rigid cabinet, featuring an 18mm front panel and 5mm side panels. Precisely calculated internal panels provide additional reinforcement. Bass ports at the top and bottom of the cabinet are designed to reduce turbulence and noise. According to the manufacturer, the cabinet and drivers of the Monitor Audio Studio 89 work together perfectly as a cohesive unit.
The Studio 89 is available in a glossy black finish, with the metal cone-shaped drivers in a gold color. They are priced at £2000, and matching stands are available for £500.
