The Bang & Olufsen Beosound A9 is now available in an extremely limited edition featuring a speaker cover adorned with an image of David Bowie.
The Danish brand occasionally collaborates with artists to make their already eye-catching Beosound A9 speakers even more striking. For these special editions, the speaker’s fabric cover becomes a canvas for art. This time, the honor goes to renowned British music photographer Denis O’Regan, who created only 30 speaker covers featuring a photograph he took of David Bowie at Newcastle’s City Hall—a few years before he became Bowie’s official tour photographer.
Naturally, there are no changes to the technical aspects of the Bang & Olufsen Beosound A9, even with this exclusive cover. However, with this highly limited edition, buyers will also receive a signed and numbered print by O’Regan, a custom box sleeve, and a certificate of authenticity documenting the collaboration between the photographer and the brand.
If you’re lucky enough to get your hands on one, the Bowie edition of the A9 is priced at £3995. This special release is available exclusively through West Contemporary (see screenshot above this article) starting tomorrow, April 25. If you’re interested, don’t wait too long—these will likely sell out fast.
