The new Elipson Connect 2130 Xi is a nicely compact streaming amplifier, designed for smaller spaces but offering solid power!
The Class D power amplifier in the Elipson Connect 2130 Xi delivers up to 260 Watts of power. And despite the fact that this small powerhouse is designed to take up as little space as possible in a smaller room, it can certainly fill larger listening spaces as well — in terms of sound, that is. The amplifier also features the company’s own “PFC” power factor correction system. According to the manufacturer, this system regulates the delivered power, aiming for reduced harmonic distortion and a more optimal signal-to-noise ratio.
The core of the built-in DAC is an ESS SABRE ES9023 chip. The maximum supported resolution is 24-bit/192 kHz. A variety of streaming options are available as well, including AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Wi-Fi and LAN, UPnP, and DLNA. Bluetooth 5.1 is also supported. Multiroom functionality is included too. And as you might expect, the Elipson Connect 2130 Xi is compatible with popular streaming services such as Tidal, Qobuz, Amazon Music, Deezer, and Spotify. On the back, you’ll find a range of inputs and outputs, including HDMI ARC.
The Elipson Connect 2130 Xi measures just 21.5 x 4.45 x 22 cm, and at a price of €699, it’s a very appealing piece of French engineering! However, you’ll have to be patient — it won’t hit the market until December 10 of this year. Pre-orders are already open!
