If you’re looking for a compact way to enjoy vinyl, just place a quality turntable on top of the Andover-One SB — and you’re all set.

Well, you’ll need to connect a cable between your turntable and the Andover-One SB speaker base and plug it into a power outlet — but then you’re ready to listen. Housed in a sturdy hardwood cabinet with a glass top plate, the Andover-One SB integrates speakers, a 200-watt Class D bi-amped amplifier with DSP, an MM phono preamp. A Bluetooth module supporting aptX HD, aptX, AAC, SBC, and low-latency codecs are there too. According to the manufacturer, the system delivers a 270-degree soundstage via forward- and side-firing speakers.

In terms of connectivity, the unit includes optical and coaxial digital inputs, USB and analog inputs. Added to that, we see a USB output for ripping vinyl to your computer or laptop. For those who want to stream, optional Songbird or Songbird HR modules can be added for network streaming capabilities.

A key technology in the Andover-One SB is the proprietary IsoGroove system. This innovation is designed to prevent feedback — a real risk when placing a turntable directly atop a speaker system. Thanks to IsoGroove, the manufacturer promises there will be no hum or feedback loops. Good to know.

The Andover-One SB is priced at $1999.
