The Philips Fidelio FT1 is a unique hybrid device that combines two classics in one: a CD player and a turntable. And yes—it even includes Bluetooth support.
With the Philips Fidelio FT1, you instantly cover all your retro disc-shaped media playback needs. The unit plays both vinyl records and CDs, while also featuring a built-in phono preamp. This makes it easy to connect to virtually any line input of an integrated or preamplifier. In addition, you can stream wirelessly to a Bluetooth headphone or speaker set—such as the newly announced FA3 speaker system.
Mechanically separated
The turntable section of the FT1 is belt-driven and comes factory-fitted with a replaceable Audio-Technica MM cartridge. Naturally, the standard speeds of 33⅓ and 45 RPM are supported. The CD player, meanwhile, is a compact front-loading design. Importantly, the CD and turntable sections are mechanically isolated from one another internally.
The Philips Fidelio FT1 will retail for €299, while the FA3 speaker set is priced at €399. Both will be available starting in the first quarter of next year—unfortunately just too late for the holiday season.
