With the RP-TT100, Sharp is looking to take its share of the resurging vinyl market. And why not?
The new Sharp RP-TT100 is a highly affordable turntable — and fully automatic, too! It offers functions such as fast forward, rewind, pause, and repeat. Standard speeds of 33 1/3 and 45 RPM are supported, covering the vast majority of mainstream records. The turntable comes fitted with an Audio-Technica AT-3600L cartridge, which can be used in combination with the switchable built-in phono preamp. Switchable means you can also turn it off and use your own external phono preamp if you prefer.
USB-C and Bluetooth
A practical touch is the USB-C connection, behind which sits an ADC (analogue-to-digital converter). This allows you to digitise your old vinyl collection via a computer, giving the Sharp RP-TT100 multiple use scenarios. Also noteworthy is the inclusion of Bluetooth 5.3, making it easy to pair with Bluetooth speakers or headphones. A supplied remote control rounds out the package.
The RP-TT100 turntable is priced at €199 — a very attractive tag.
