Eversolo SE100 passive loudspeakers

While Eversolo is primarily known for its active speakers, the brand is now releasing its first set of compact passive loudspeakers: the SE100.

Compact active speakers are always convenient — on a desk, in a student room, or just about anywhere else. One advantage is that they are often perfectly tuned, partly thanks to built-in DSP. But if you prefer to keep full control even with a smaller speaker, and want to drive it with an integrated or power amplifier, Eversolo now offers the SE100. These are pleasantly compact speakers, but without any active electronics on board.

The SE100 is a two-way design with a square front baffle, housed in a high-density MDF cabinet. A nice detail: according to the manufacturer, the speakers fit into standard shelving systems, including the IKEA KALLAX.

As for the drivers, the SE100 uses a 5.25-inch paper-pulp cone woofer/midrange unit, complemented by a 25 mm silk-dome tweeter for the high frequencies. Eversolo states that the crossover has been designed and tuned so that phase and timing between the drivers are properly aligned. A removable magnetic grille is also included.

The Eversolo SE100 is attractively priced at €499 per pair.
