Viertron BV has announced that it has split its activities, with its installation division continuing under the name Woon IoT.
As of January 1, Dutch distributor Viertron BV has organisationally separated its operations into two clearly defined focus areas: hi-fi retail and installation and smart-home solutions. The hi-fi activities remain within Viertron BV and, according to the company, focus on premium hi-fi retail products, including cabling from Supra Cable, electronics from Atoll Electronique, and loudspeakers from Acoustic Energy. The installation portfolio — including Digital Strom, Araknis, Meridian, OvrC and WattBox — has been placed in a separate organisation: Woon IoT.
In addition to distributing installation technology, Woon IoT will also place a strong emphasis on the development of SaaS solutions, the announcement states. These services support international manufacturers, installers and integrators in areas such as product compliance, monitoring, management, automation and data-driven services within smart-home and building installations. With this move, Woon IoT is partially shifting from traditional distribution to a combination of technology, software and services.
For existing and new installation customers, this means that deliveries, invoicing and support will now be handled via Woon IoT. For hi-fi dealers and retail partners, nothing changes: they will continue to do business with Viertron BV as before.
“Through this split, greater focus, clarity and specialist support are created for both markets,” Viertron states.
