British manufacturer Rogers has introduced the PM510 S3 monitor speakers, based on a true classic from the past.
The new Rogers PM510 S3 takes inspiration from the famous BBC LS5/8 Grade One studio monitor, originally dating back to the 1980s. Naturally, the new model incorporates more modern technology, but the underlying concept remains largely unchanged. At its core are a 305 mm woofer and a 34 mm soft-dome tweeter. Its crossover uses a third-order filter network with a crossover point at 2.6 kHz.
The PM510 S3 speaker offers a frequency response ranging from 45 Hz to 20 kHz, while maximum power handling is rated at 250 watts RMS. It’s handmade in the UK, with cabinets constructed from 12 mm Baltic birch plywood. The finish consists of real wood veneer, with standard options including Amazaque and Olive Ash.
According to the manufacturer, the Rogers PM510 S3 is suitable for both professional studio applications and home listening environments—particularly in larger rooms. Pricing is currently expected to be around €18,000 per pair, although this has not yet been confirmed as the official final retail price.
