Yet another new CD player has entered the market, this time from Revox with its new Studiomaster CD100.
The new Revox Studiomaster CD100 has been designed to integrate seamlessly with the company’s own Studiomaster M500 and M300 systems. The units can be connected using a dedicated data cable—which, “naturally,” is an optional extra purchase. The player can also be operated independently via the front-panel controls or through an app if preferred.
For D/A conversion, Revox selected the Texas Instruments Burr-Brown PCM1796 DAC chip. In addition to analog outputs, both coaxial and optical digital outputs are available.
The unit weighs 3 kilograms and measures 88 x 200 x 342 mm. Buyers can choose between black, white and silver finishes.
The Studiomaster CD100 is priced at €1,895, while the aforementioned interface cable costs an additional €495.
