PSB Speakers has expanded its iQ Series with two new wireless loudspeakers: the iQ1 and iQ2, both powered by the BluOS streaming platform.
Thanks to BluOS integration, the new PSB iQ-series offer a comprehensive range of streaming features. They support popular music services including Qobuz, TIDAL, Deezer and Amazon Music, alongside Spotify Connect and TIDAL Connect.
The built-in DAC supports audio resolutions of up to 24-bit / 192 kHz, while Bluetooth with aptX HD compatibility is also included. Support for Apple AirPlay 2 enables convenient multi-room audio functionality.
Those preferring wired connections are equally well catered for. The speakers feature stereo RCA, HDMI eARC, optical, USB-A, USB-C and even a moving-magnet (MM) phono input. A dedicated subwoofer output is also provided.
Shared Technology
Both the iQ1 and iQ2 are fully active loudspeakers featuring DSP-based active crossovers. They use identical driver configurations consisting of a 19 mm dome tweeter and a 100 mm polypropylene mid-bass driver. Amplification is also shared between the models, with Class D amplification delivering up to 270 watts of total output power.
There are, however, some important differences. Both models use a 90-watt amplifier for the mid-bass driver. In the iQ1, the tweeters are powered by a two-channel amplifier, delivering 45 watts per tweeter. The iQ2, meanwhile, features dedicated 45-watt amplifiers for each tweeter, providing completely independent amplification.
Another distinction is connectivity between the stereo pair. The iQ1 requires a conventional speaker cable linking the left and right speakers, whereas the iQ2 communicates wirelessly between channels.

The iQ1 is offered in black or white vinyl finishes.
The iQ2 is available in a broader selection of finishes, including black, white, amber, red, boreal green, granite grey and sandstone beige. Buyers looking for a more luxurious appearance can also opt for a walnut veneer finish for an additional €100.
