LG releases major software update for C2 and G2

If you happen to have an LG C2 or (and?) G2 OLED TV sitting around, it is important to quickly update the firmware of it!

Both the LG C2 and G2 OLED run the WebOS operating system. And a major update is now available for said devices, which brings quite a few changes. Immediately striking is the redesigned home menu, which according to the manufacturer should look more stylish and streamlined. Furthermore, there are now five icons in the top right corner, which give you quick access to things like settings and a search function.

Inheritance of Palm

If your TV is connected to the Internet, you will automatically receive a notification when the update is available for WebOS. That WebOS, by the way, has an interesting history going back to PalmOS. The latter will no longer mean anything to many, but was the operating system of the once immensely popular Palm handhelds. And so it appears that those in modern form still live on to some extent. There is even an open source version of this operating system as well, for enthusiasts.
