This month, some models of the Amazon Fire TV Stick will receive support for Xbox cloud gaming following a firmware update.
If you happen to be both an audiophile and a gamer, Amazon might have good news for you. The Amazon Fire TV Stick will receive support for (currently in beta) Xbox cloud gaming this month. Models receiving the update include the Fire TV Stick 4K and the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2023). If you are using an older stick, you will unfortunately need to upgrade to newer hardware. This isn’t much of a drama considering the very low price of Fire TV sticks.
Until recently, the Xbox cloud streaming service was exclusively available on Samsung smart TVs, but it seems Microsoft is expanding. All you need to start playing is a compatible Bluetooth controller and an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan at $17 per month.
