The new Marshall Bromley 150 is a reasonably portable speaker and the smallest model in the series.
Marshall’s Bromley speakers probably resemble the legendary brand’s proper stage speakers and amplifiers more than anything else. However, the 750 and 450 are sufficiently substantial that you are unlikely to casually carry them around with you. They make excellent party speakers, complete with entertaining lighting effects, but in terms of portability they are essentially a case of taking them out of the car and putting them back in again.
The new Bromley 150 is more compact. It is still a fairly substantial piece of equipment, but at least carrying it around is manageable. One welcome feature is that the built-in battery provides more than 40 hours of playback on a full charge. Meanwhile, just 20 minutes of fast charging provides another five hours of listening time. An IP55 rating, combined with a silicone cover, protects the speaker against splashes of water and dust, making it suitable for outdoor use as well.
Like its bigger brothers (sisters?), the 150 features both instrument and microphone inputs. If you prefer to play something prepared earlier, you can do so digitally via USB-C or go analogue using the 3.5mm AUX input. And naturally, Bluetooth is standing by as well.
A Class D amplifier delivers a maximum output of 200 watts, distributed across four drivers.
