The Atonemo Streamplayer is exactly the kind of little device that comes in handy almost anywhere. Think of adding streaming to a pair of active speakers, or bringing a retro hi-fi system up to date in one simple step. This compact streamer supports AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Bluetooth Low Energy, Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect and more.
The concept is ultra-simple. There’s a USB-C port for power and an AUX output. You connect your active speakers or hi-fi system either via Bluetooth or a traditional wired connection. The connection to your home network is wireless, using Wi-Fi 6. Via the analog wired output, the built-in DAC delivers audio quality up to 24-bit / 192 kHz, i.e. hi-res. For those who like to tweak, a 10-band equalizer is included. Control is handled through what the manufacturer describes as a minimalist and clearly laid-out app.
That leaves the price: the Atonemo Streamplayer costs €99. It’s developed in the EU (Sweden).
