Dutch importer-distributor Mafico announces the birth of the all-new Harbeth NLE-1 loudspeakers, originally presented at High End 2024.
During High End Munich a loudspeaker appeared that was radically innovative for the brand: the Harbeth NLE-1. NLE here stands for “New Listening Experience”. Specially, for the first time they combine the full potential of their RADIAL cone technology with DSP and internal amplification for an exceptional sound experience, Mafico reports.
Ideal for smaller rooms
According to the manufacturer, the NLE-1’s small footprint makes it ideal for smaller rooms, but it can also be used as part of a surround system or professional (Atmos) studio. Both mid/low and high are driven by a digital (DSP) crossover and a pair of 50W Class D amplifiers with ultra-low distortion and high damping factor. The speakers can be connected via an XLR input and use an external 24V power supply. There is a switch on the back that can drag the low end an octave down at low volumes.
The recommended retail price of the Harbeth NLE-1 in the UK is £2995 per pair. The price or time of arrival for the Benelux has not yet been determined. Just wait and see, we’d say!
