Turntables are analog in nature, which means that they sometimes need to be adjusted, such as the RPM. And the Clearaudio Speed Light V2 can take care of this specific job very nicely. The operation of the device is surprisingly simple. A white LED flashes at a frequency of exactly 300 Hz. Place the included strobe plate on the player and start it. Adjust the RPM of your turntable until the pattern on that test plate is stationary. At that point, you have set the exact RPM. Since, as mentioned, this is analog equipment, it is not unwise to repeat this procedure once in a while. By the way, this method is mainly intended for turntables that do not have their own built-in rotational speed control.
