Huawei FreeClip ‘open’ in-ears

The Huawei FreeClip is slightly different from most other in-ears, if only because they don’t fit completely in the ear.

Handy for athletes and anyone else on the street: in-ears that just let the outside world through. Kind of safe, if we think about it. The Huawei FreeClip offer just that. The FreeClip’s design is a bit odd, but that’s how it is. The idea is that the caps clamp firmly onto the ear, but at the same time don’t feel uncomfortable or cause pain. The whole thing is set up so that enough sound from the outside world penetrates while listening.

8 hours of playing time

The Huawei FreeClip plays for 8 hours on a full battery charge, expandable to 36 hours on the go via the included charging case. The in-ears can withstand dust and moisture thanks to an IP54 rating. Nice is, it doesn’t matter which cap you wear on the left or right, you simply control the channel distribution via the included app.

The price of the Huawei FreeClip is €199, available from the end of December in black and purple.
